Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly to us when requesting a quote, filling out contact forms, subscribing to our newsletter or hiring developers. This includes your name, email address, phone number, store URL and any project details you submit.

With each form, we also receive the page you sent it from and your language. If you have allowed analytics or marketing cookies, we also receive how you first found our site: the landing page, the referring website, and any campaign tags or ad-click identifiers in that link (for example utm_source, gclid or fbclid).

Our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the website can be delivered and protected.

We use the collected information to respond to your queries, deliver services, improve our website, send the updates you subscribed to, and manage developer engagement contracts.

We process enquiry data to take the steps you ask for before a contract, or to perform a contract with you. We process technical data because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure website. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your consent.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website or conducting business, as long as they agree to keep this information confidential. These providers are listed in section 7.

We implement a variety of industry-standard security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your data. The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections.

When you first visit, we ask which cookies you allow. Nothing is used for analytics or advertising until you choose. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Always used (needed for the site to work):

• cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choice. Kept for 12 months.
• NEXT_LOCALE: remembers your language. Kept for 12 months.
• theme and newsletter_dismissed (browser storage): remember your light or dark mode and that you closed the newsletter box. Kept until you clear your browser data.

Only with analytics or marketing consent:

• wg_first_touch (browser storage): how you first found our site (landing page, referring site, campaign tags). Kept until you clear your browser data, and deleted if you withdraw consent.

Only with analytics consent:

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by our property ID): count visits and show how the site is used. Kept for up to 2 years.

Only with marketing consent:

• Meta Pixel cookie (_fbp): measures visits and enquiries from our Facebook and Instagram ads. Kept for up to 90 days.

If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to see which pages are visited and how enquiries are made. We use Google Consent Mode, so ad-related Google storage stays off unless you also allow marketing cookies.

If you allow marketing cookies, we use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited / Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure visits and enquiries that come from our ads on Facebook and Instagram.

When you send a form or click our WhatsApp button, we record that event in these tools only if you have given the matching consent. Withdrawing consent stops these tools from loading on your next page view.

We use these providers to run the website and handle enquiries:

• Vercel: hosts the website and processes the technical data needed to deliver it.
• Resend: delivers the emails our forms send to our team.
• Google (Google Analytics): only with your analytics consent.
• Meta (Meta Pixel): only with your marketing consent.
• WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to contact us through the WhatsApp button, in which case WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies.

Webguru.pk is based in Lahore, Pakistan, and some of our providers are based in the United States. Your data may therefore be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to answer you and, if we work together, for the length of the engagement plus any period the law requires us to keep business records. Google Analytics keeps detailed data for the retention period set in our account, at most 14 months. Cookies and browser storage are kept for the periods listed in section 5.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to cookies at any time through "Cookie settings"; this does not affect processing that happened before. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We may update this policy when our website or providers change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
