Project Overview

Beauty Lounge Bergedorf is a beauty and wellness studio at Mohnhof 8 in Hamburg-Bergedorf, offering cosmetics, nail care, eyelash extensions, hair removal, microblading, microneedling, spa massages, makeup and hairstyling under one roof.

In 2023 we revamped its WordPress website so the studio feels as calm and polished online as it does in person: every treatment gets its own page, appointments are one click away, and gift vouchers and the salon's own nail-care line are easy to find.

The brief

Goal, problem and solution

The Goal

Create a refined website that reflects the salon's premium beauty and wellness treatments.

Make it easy for visitors to explore treatments, build trust and book an appointment.

Problem

Illustration of a run-down salon with pink walls, worn styling chairs and dusty mirrors, standing for a dated first impression

The salon's look online had fallen behind the experience in the studio. A long list of treatments was hard to scan, and booking, gift vouchers and the salon's own products were not easy to reach, which made it harder to win new clients against modern salons nearby.

Solution

A laptop and a phone on a marble table beside pink roses and skincare bottles, both showing the Beauty Lounge home page

We designed a calm, elegant website in the salon's gold, rose and red: a clear Leistungen menu with a page for every treatment, a Termin buchen link to Salonkee in the main menu, vouchers to buy online or print, and a small shop for the BL Nail Collection.

UX approach

UX Approach: a calm salon website that leads to a booking

A guest-first approach focused on calm, easy navigation and trust, helping visitors find the right treatment, see what it involves and book it without hunting for a phone number.

The Beauty Lounge home page on a laptop, scrolling from the team photos to the treatment tiles and the footer with opening hours.
  • Four links, every treatment

The menu stays short: Home, Leistungen, Über Uns and Termin Buchen. Leistungen opens onto one page per treatment, from spa and facials, hair removal and hairstyling to microblading, microneedling, spray tanning and eyelash extensions.

  • Booking is always one click away

Termin Buchen sits in the main menu and as a red button in the footer, and both lead straight to the salon's Salonkee calendar. The Leistungen page also links to Treatwell for guests who already book there.

  • Vouchers, products and opening hours

Gift vouchers can be bought through Salonkee or printed as PDFs in several amounts, the BL Nail Collection has its own WooCommerce shop, and the footer shows the Mohnhof address, phone and opening hours on every page.

Full Page View

Two pages of the salon website from top to bottom: the home page with the salon front, the three entry points (vouchers, lash extensions, hairstyling) and the footer with address, opening hours and online booking; then the shop, where the salon sells its own BL Nail Collection through WooCommerce.

Key Features

What a salon website has to do well: show every treatment, take bookings, sell vouchers and products, and make the salon easy to find.

  • Service-Focused Navigation

The open Leistungen menu: Behandlungen and Shop, then Klassische Kosmetik, Wimpernverlängerung, Anwendungen & Spa, Microblading, Microneedling, Haarentfernung, Hairstyling and Spraytanning, over a shelf of nail polish

Every treatment, from classic cosmetics and lash extensions to microneedling and hairstyling, sits in one tidy menu, with “Termin buchen!” always one click away for online booking.

  • Vouchers, Shop & Training

“Our shop” page with three gold-ringed round photos for vouchers, products and training, each with a red button

Gift vouchers, bought online or printed from a PDF, sit next to a WooCommerce shop for the salon’s own nail products and its training courses.

  • Contact & Location Info

“Get in touch with us!” page: a Google map with the salon pin in Hamburg-Bergedorf, address, phone and email, social links and a contact form with a red Submit button

A Google map, phone, email and a short contact form on one page, plus the address and opening hours in every footer, so nobody has to search for the salon in Bergedorf.

  • Beauty & Wellness Positioning

Beauty Facials page header: a cosmetician giving a client a facial treatment in the salon, with the title “Beauty Facials” in thin white type

Each treatment family gets its own page, from beauty facials and spa massages to microblading and spray tanning, presented as one calm beauty oasis rather than a price list.

Design System

A warm, calm visual system: soft neutrals, one confident red and Montserrat throughout, so every treatment page, voucher and shop listing feels like the same salon.

Beauty Lounge Bergedorf, Kosmetik, Spa & Hair in Hamburg. Headings name each treatment plainly, from Wimpernverlängerung and Microneedling to Hände & Nägel, set in Montserrat so that long German words stay elegant on a phone and calm on a large screen.

  • Lava Red on Rose Sand4.6:1AA
  • Logo gold on white3.9:1Large text only

The logo gold (#9F7B50) reaches 3.9:1 on white: right for the monogram, icons and large headings, not for body text, so links and buttons use Lava Red (6.4:1).

Webguru website development FAQ

What salon and studio owners ask us before a website revamp, answered with what we did for Beauty Lounge Bergedorf.

Ask us anything
  • Yes. That is what we did for Beauty Lounge Bergedorf. We kept the salon on WordPress and rebuilt the design and structure around what guests look for: a four-link menu, one page per treatment under Leistungen, and the address and opening hours in every footer.

  • We link the booking tool the salon already uses instead of rebuilding a calendar. On the Beauty Lounge site, Termin Buchen sits in the main menu and as a red button in the footer, both open the salon's Salonkee calendar, and the Leistungen page also links to Treatwell for guests who already book there.

  • For a small own-brand range on an existing WordPress site, WooCommerce keeps everything in one place, which is how the salon sells its BL Nail Collection. When the shop grows into a business of its own, with more products, stock to manage and sales on other channels, we usually recommend Shopify and connect it to the salon site.

  • Give guests more than one way to buy them and make them easy to find. Beauty Lounge Bergedorf has a voucher tile on the home page and offers vouchers through Salonkee or as a printable PDF, so a last-minute gift does not need a visit to the salon.

  • It gives each treatment its own title, description and heading, so a search for microblading or lash extensions in Bergedorf can land on the matching page instead of a long list. We add the salon's address and opening hours as structured data and keep the Google Business Profile in line with the website.

  • Maintenance is a separate plan that a salon can add at launch or later: WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, backups, security checks and small content changes such as new treatments or opening hours. We agree who owns updates before launch, so the site does not fall behind.
